Having spent the last decade living in California and New Zealand, helping to create some of the biggest films of recent times, Ian House has found himself a new home in the city of Bristol (UK), where he now writes and illustrates children's books.
Hailing from Kent in the south-east of England, Ian has worked on such films as 'Star Wars II', 'Pirates fo the Caribbean', 'Lord of the Rings' and 'Harry Potter'. Ian has also enjoyed a formidable career at Pixar Animation
Studios, spanning the creation of Disney Pixar's modern classics from 'Cars' through 'Ratatouille', 'Walle', 'Up', 'Toy Story 3' and including 'Cars 2' in 2011.
Ian loves taking control of his storytelling by directing his audience with format as well as illustration and words. In an 'e-publishing' landscape he embraces the challenge of justifying the need for 'real-world' books.
Publishing is changing and Ian is committed to proving the value of physical media by designing new and imaginative ways to enable the more 'traditional' form in achieving its goals, uniquely alongside it's electronic counterpart.
Fueled by a passion for sustainability, Ian has an strong ethical standpoint for retaining local industrial infrastructure. He is proudly committed to producing and printing his books within the UK - as close to home as possible.
